Kate's Story

Kate Berger is an experienced educator, artist, and designer who loves tackling challenging projects with an illustrative style. She grew up in Urbana, Illinois and left at age 17 to see more of the United States. She taught science to 7th-12th graders in Mississippi, Los Angeles, DC, and Denver, and worked as a school leader for nearly two decades. In 2022, she decided to follow her passion and build a career as an artist and designer. Kate lives in Denver, Colorado where she enjoys hiking, reading, playing board games, and caring for her cat and two dogs.
